Questions about the product and the designs

How do I find out what size to order?

To make sure which size fits you, look at the size chart for each product. It is located under the product and is specified in inches. In addition, depending on the type of product, the product description may also state whether the item is cut rather tightly or loosely.

Are the shirts also available in other colors?

We have tried to accommodate as many colors as possible. If you really want a specific textile or print color combination, then contact us via our contact form and we'll see what we can do.

I can't find my neighborhood in your web shop. Will it be available anytime soon?

Yes, our goal is to cover every single neighborhood in San Francisco. Just send us an email via the contact form and we’ll put in our list of which neighborhoods to design next.

What should I consider when washing the shirts?

• Wash your t-shirt together with similar colors (inside out)
• Wash the t-shirt at a maximum of 30°
• Do not put in the dryer
• Do not iron directly on the design print

Questions about ordering and exchanges

How do orders and delivery work?

We work together with an external print partner. As soon as we have received your order, your order and the printing will be made individually (on-demand) for you. This means that when we receive your order, we will immediately start ordering the textile and printing it for you. We collaborate with multiple carriers such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL, among others whom we rely on to deliver packages safely nationally and internationally. As soon as the package is on its way, you will receive a link with the tracking number so that you can track the shipment.

Something seems to have gone wrong during printing. What can I do?

We always ensure that the printing process undergoes the strictest quality controls. In very rare cases, it can happen that in the hustle and bustle of everyday work, an incorrect design for example was printed or a print spot appeared. In such a case, please send us a photo of the t-shirt and especially the misprint to our e-mail address: info@contradashop .com so that we can analyze what happened. In the event of a printing error, we will of course send you a new t-shirt immediately.

Why does the print on my t-shirt look washed out?

Our Americana Collection designs are inspired by the old, nostalgic, vintage American logos of the turn of the century. Therefore, the vintage effect, which looks like the print is peeling off slightly in some places, is intentional. Like the "stonewashed look" of a pair of jeans that are deliberately slightly washed out in some places when you buy them.

Unfortunately, the product I ordered doesn't fit me. Can I exchange it?

If the product you ordered doesn't fit you, you can return it to us within 14 days of receipt.  We'll refund you so you can order the t-shirt in a new size.

Why does my shirt have a vinegar smell?

When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don’t worry, that’s not unusual - it’s from a fixation agent applied during the printing process, and it’s not permanent.

Fixation agent (sometimes known as pre-treatment) is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.

The solution is simply to wash the garment! Neither the residue nor the smell is permanent, and both should go away after one wash.

Which shipping partners do you work with and how much does shipping cost?

We collaborate with multiple carriers such as UPS, USPS, FedEx, and DHL, among others whom we rely on to deliver packages safely nationally and internationally. You have the ability to review your estimated shipping costs prior to ordering by clicking this button (see screenshot) with the delivery truck icon within your shopping cart and then entering your location.

How long does it take until I receive my order?

After receiving your order, your t-shirt will be ordered, printed and shipped on demand. We work with an external production partner who handles the ordering and shipping. Normally, the production time takes 2 to 5 working days and an additional 2 to 5 working days for delivery. Especially with increased order volume, e.g. before Christmas, production can take up to nine working days. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee any shipping times, as these times may vary in exceptional cases. If you have not received the product after 10 working days, please contact us via our contact form and give us your order number. We will get to the bottom of the matter together.

Important! We cannot send certain items together in one package (e.g. mug and t-shirt). In that case we will send two packages. You will then also receive two tracking numbers via the system.
Can I just pick it up?
We would love to offer you that possibility, but unfortunately in this case all production and shipping duties have been contracted out to our external partner. Therefore, we currently do not have a publicly accessible address to share with you for the pickup of your item(s). The only possibility would be if we have already partnered with a retail shop in your area (see here).

Is there a tracking number?

Yes, we will send you an e-mail with a tracking number immediately after your order has been shipped so that you can follow the delivery promptly. Please use the tracking link we sent you after your order to check where your package is after about 3-5 working days if the package has not arrived by then. In rare cases, a parcel was taken to a parcel shop without notifying you.

Important! We cannot send certain items together in one package (e.g. mug and t-shirt). In that case we will send two packages. You will then also receive two tracking numbers via the system.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we deliver internationally. Simply enter your international shipping address when purchasing and we'll ship your order anywhere you like. If you want to review your estimated shipping costs, click the button with the delivery truck within your shopping cart (see screenshot).

Please note that deliveries outside the US may be subject to customs tariffs. Any customs duties are borne by you as the buyer.

Yes, with passion! We have often received inquiries as to whether we can customize a design for certain brands, companies, bands or events, and this has always resulted in very cool cooperations and partnerships. Would/Do you partner offline with any resellers or retail shops?
Currently, we do not partner with any offline resellers or retail shops. If you are interested in reselling, licensing, or have have a retail shop and would like to sell our items, please contact us.
